A new series – based on “52 Questions” projects.
In previous years, I used the 52 Questions prompts by Emily Falconbridge, and enjoyed doing different art cards in response to them. I took 2012 off doing this project and I have to say, I missed it.
So – I have made my own list of “52 Sparks for 2013” and hope YOU will join in this weekly challenge.
You can download the pdf for the whole year (you might have to right click & save before opening it): 52Sparksfor2013
In 2010, I used old flash cards.
In 2011, I used miscellaneous pieces of fabric and cardboard in the 4 X 6 (roughly) size.
Once I had made the list of 52 prompts, I was wondering what base I would use. Not worrying about it, just waiting for the Spark! Then, last week, I was clearing off one corner of my cutting table, and there was a package of tags that my friend Wendy Burton had sent to me in the summer. PERFECT because inside were 52 tags!!!
How AWESOME was that! Serendipity at its best.
All different sizes and shapes – some similar, but I can spread them out. I am thinking because they already have the hole punched at the top, I will use a ring to hold them for the year.
I encourage YOU to think about doing this year long journaling project with me and when I post my weekly art tag, I will have one of those linky plug-ins so you can add your link for the week. You will not be showing your actual journaling unless you want to, just the front of the artwork. The first blog post for 2013, for this 52 Sparks will be January 2nd, and then every Wednesday after that. Start thinking of what base you will be using!
