Yesterday, Mom & I made a quick trip to Medicine Hat (2.5 hours one way) to get my sewing machine serviced…..didn’t like the moaning it was making Monday evening. Thankfully, Dueck’s Sewing Centre fit it in as soon as I got there. We left here at 7 am and were back in Swift Current at 3 pm where Mom had to get some groceries.
I am working on a little project for myself right now, using up a piece of hand-dyed fabric that’s been calling my name for awhile…..first some hand stitching and then who knows what it will tell me to do next.
We stopped at Value Village and I was able to find a coffee grinder ( for my studio….not for coffee), a sketchbook and some thread bobbins. We were back at Dueck’
s by noon and since the sewing machine only needed servicing not something major, I splurged and bought myself an early Birthday present. A convertible Free Motion Quilting foot set & some more bobbins (can always use more bobbins).
Fabricland had a deal on embroidery threads – 8 for $3 and I bought some bronzed & silver eyelets as I only had shiny gold.
Overall a GREAT day and today I will be playing with the new feet……
