Its been a busy couple of weeks, outside meetings are finally slowing down….but I am busy promoting my classes, working on samples & handouts for the Art Retreat and thinking of ideas for the workshops on the cruise next June.
I have booked a couple workshops – one a quilting and the other a mixed media. My calendar for the rest of 2009 is totally filled, so now am booking into 2010 and even that is getting filled up.
Working all this past week on the samples & handouts for the Art Retreat has been a JOYOUS experience – so many more ideas have come out of those pieces of paper and fabrics. After the retreat, I’ll do some photographs of the altered book that has most of the samples, but I did alot of the samples on other papers so that people can see that they can be used for making cards or scrapbook layouts or glued into the altered book. I am so looking forward to the workshop next weekend, meeting all the people – only two of which I have met personally before. My problem with the samples/handouts is when to stop as we only have the weekend…..oh well, they will get the instructions and see my samples so they can do them at home if we don’t get to them!
Today, I’ll sew up some book bags for the Library Tea & Bake Sale – cut them out yesterday in between painting & glueing.
So, did you dim your lights for Earth Hour yesterday. We had all the lights, & computer off, watched the hockey game in the dark (hard on the eyes!) for that hour and sadly, it looked like we were the only ones in town who had no lights on! Disappointing…..One hour is so little to ask!!!
HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY Trista!!!
