To LOVE oneself
is
the beginning of a lifelong romance…

Day 28 is the FINAL day of “Share A Heart” challenge (You can read more details about the challenge on THIS post) is another Pop – Up card. Send this card to someone for no special reason, just that you are thinking of them.
First, I would like to THANK YOU everyone who came by for a visit – though you didn’t leave comments, I did notice YOU!
I would especially like to THANK those few who took the time to participate, and I hope it meant alot to those people you did send out a card to.
SHARE A HEART is about sharing your LOVE.
Nothing more and nothing less!!!
For today’s card, I went with SPRING colours, as I have a person in mind for this one and they are hoping for an early spring.
The image is from an old card that someone sent my Mom years ago, she gave me the card front knowing I could use it somewhere down the road. This card is cut so its 5.5 inch square.
I cut 2 slits in the centre of the heart and fed in the organza ribbon scrap, then tied a bow.
Inside, I went with a pink cardstock – thinking it was another SPRING colour for my friend.
I drew hearts all over the inside piece of cardstock, making sure
there was an odd number and different sizes. I, then, used my Fiskars fingertip knife to cut on the lines – LEAVING the bottom still attached. I added a 1/4 inch strip of cardstock to the bottom of the 2 large hearts, then cut leaving most of the strip intact so it held the hearts. I erased the pencil lines as I was not originally going to paint the hearts.
Now, you are probably wondering why I put the green for grass under all the hearts. The hearts are painted with acrylic paint – they looked odd, so again, I was thinking SPRING and like Easter eggs being hidden in grass…..I put the hearts in the grass.
The faux banner, was to cover a painting blob that happen when I accidentally dropped a piece of cardstock and smeared the paint as it wasn’t dry. SAVE!
I wrote with a brush marker “Spring is Coming” and its in the mail.
The hearts COULD very well be Easter Eggs or anything else for that matter and instead of painting each image, you could use scrapbook paper.

If YOU are joining in on this 28 days of Share A Heart, please add your link to your Flickr photo or your blog post below. THANK YOU!!!

What a lovely tutorial and project Dale. Lovely card.
Thanks Suzanne – all 28 cards were fun to make and it felt great to send to non-suspecting people.
