as soon as you see them.
A JOY journal for those days when YOU need a smile!
When I am mentoring and/or coaching my clients, one of the first questions they’d like help with is to find a way to switch from being sad, depressed or even angry easier. If they are clients who are not into art journaling or more indepth journaling like some of us are, its hard for them to clear the brain of all those thoughts.
So what to do?
I ask them to take their favourite magazines, take 15 or 20 minutes in a quiet comfortable spot and tear or cut out all the images and/or words that bring a smile to their face. Then, in another 15 or 20 minute session glue all those images into a journal – leave space for journaling about why those bring a smile.
The journal can be a composition book from the dollar store or a student’s scribbler, or whatever you feel that will bring you JOY!
Once you have the pile of images glued into the journal, take another 15 to 20 minute session and SMILE while you write down the first thoughts that come to mind when you see each image – about Why those images bring a smile.
This is a journal that no one else has to see, unless you are inclined to show people.

This JOY journal is for those times when you are at your wits end and need something to pull you from the depths.
I know that not everyday is filled with happiness and JOY, so this is a tool that takes not much time and effort and will be an AWESOME tool you can pull out when needed.
