As I said in a previous post, I’ve known Jill for many years, back when she lived in Sherwood Park and we lived near Ardrossan, Alberta. She now lives in London, Ontario.
This first Mixed Media artwork is called Among The Galaxies (by Jill Pike). We both LOVE it!!! We placed it above vintage dresser we use in the dining room. Its perfect and everytime we go from the kitchen to the living room, we’ll enjoy it. In real life, this is not as blue – its like midnight blue or black. The flash didn’t help – might have to photograph it outside on a cloudy day.
This second piece is called A Colourful Journey (by Jill Pike). When we were in Ontario last year, Jill talked about new classes she was going to take….this is one of her first pieces in the new techniques. We both LOVE this one as well. We have it in the living room beside this computer area, so while I’m typing this I can look to my right and its right there. LOVE both of them!!!
and THANK YOU Jill for trading artwork. Will treasure these just as much as we treasure your folk art work we have in our possession.
Our walls are a caramel colour but doesn’t show up that way in these pictures.
Wasn’t yesterday a day to remember? We both watched most of the event.
