New work……

November 17, 2007

This is a bad photo – did it quick before taking it to the local cafe……..will do a better photo soon.
This is a journal quilt size sewn on to a plain quilted background……HARVEST is 17 1/2″ X 20″.
I, as you can tell if you’d looked at my work over the past year, have been using up bits! I pieced the sky from all kinds of blues, some are using the back instead of the front of the fabric. Same with yellows. I’ve been obsessed with photos of bales this fall – ask DH he’s had enough of us pulling off the side of the highway to photograph bales! I sure wish I had a camera with a bigger zoom lens!!!
I used some recycled yarn (got a whole bag of all kinds of colours for $2 at the trift store earlier this year – I think its for needlepoint as they are small skeins like emb. floss) for the bales and just zig zagged them. And, any harvest picture HAS to have geese in them!!! LOL
I was scheduled to get the supplies for the Stamps by Mail Kit #3 on Thursday……..was re-routed to Saskatoon in error and yesterday for some reason they didn’t show up (usually its the next day!) so I’m sure the box will be coming while I’m at bowling on Monday. Today, I’ll work on the printouts for the cards………have those all ready and then it will be just the cutting of everything and packaging up.
