Paper Scraps…

by Dale Anne Potter

Turning them into something MORE!

I’ve been downsizing my stashes of everything in my Studio, and while sorting the paper scraps, I challenged myself to use the scraps instead of just adding to them.

Card1The card on the left has stamps by Unity Stamps.  I added the birds.

The painted tyvek reminded me of a hill, then I added the homemade paper for texture.

Card

The card on the right has a stamp I have had for years, it was in a grab bag of stamps on ebay.  The butterfly stamp is a acrylic stamp (I made the mistake of tossing the paper that came with the set, so sorry, no idea who it is from.

The bottom paper asked to be matched with the painted tyvek scrap.

My challenge for myself for the year – use the paper scraps before attempting to use the full sheets of cardstock and scrapbook paper!

How do you deal with your paper scraps?  I’d LOVE to hear how you use yours.

Unfortunately, my paper scraps are currently keeping other forgotten things company and they’re not being put to much use. When I remember them, my scraps get added to collages and pages in art journals. Thanks for this post, I’ll have to dig some out of my closet and put them to use.
