New Blog Post:

GOOD to get away & recharge but also GOOD to be back home!!!

“A change of feeling is a change of destiny”…..Neville Goddard

For me, the above quote was perfect – I was starting to look at my calendar & was feeling like there was NO TIME for anything else. So, the scheduled trip to Regina was EXACTLY what I needed – my DOWNTIME to change my feelings of overwhelm and see the AWESOME path that has been laid out for me.

The workshop I taught in Regina, went very quickly and everyone liked the project, plus I have a lead for another workshop – which is good because one workshop here has been put on hold. One, that I thought, everyone had gotten the approval for, etc.

21 SECRETS, which is 21 Art Journaling workshops by 21 different teachers, is going very well. Over 700 students from around the world, so AMAZING!

STITCHED, which is 20 sewing/crafting workshops by 20 different teachers is still going AMAZING, a new mini workshop was added April 1st.

I have the FREE MOTION QUILTING workshop coming up on Saturday April 21st – You can see all the details HERE.

I am in the Uplevel Your Life program with Christine Kane and everyday I am having the JOY of some little tidbit helping me. I am taking this program so that I can not only help myself but help my Coaching clients and the students in my POSITIVE THINKING EVERYDAY workshop. Today, I will be implementing – setting an Intention and using a timer to get some of the projects done. My TO DO list for the rest of the month of April is large, so checking emails this morning and later today will become a NEW habit. Then, setting 55 minutes timer to work on 3 projects that are sitting waiting on my cutting table. I will be unable to complete them in the 55 minutes, but make good progress and if I do this several times over the day and week ahead – it will help with boredom of one project.

Setting downtime into your schedule is GOOD for recharging and moving forward. I feel so empowered!

Do YOU set yourself up for some downtime?

Have an AWESOME DAY!!!

New Blog Post:

I am totally LOVING this idea from Lisa Sonora Beam. More & more I NEED something to keep me on track as I try to weigh out life challenges and my ART life. I have some decisions to make this week, so a sleepless night thinking of pros & cons of everything. (note to self: I so need her book! Moving it to the top of my want list…)

All I want to do is MAKE ART – why are all these decisions making me feel like I’m banging my head against the wall. So, at about 4 am this morning I decided that SIMPLIFY was going to be my INTENTION for this NEW MOON Intentions page. Living with INTENT can be different for everyone, here’s a good article by Christine Kane.

Tomorrow – March 15th is the NEW MOON for this month.

My word for 2010 is ACTION, so I am using that as part of my main intention to SIMPLIFY my life.

This journal page started with using a light coating of gesso, then pastel chalks, I used a wet brush to blend them. Had to do a light spray of matte finish to set the chalks. Then, I had to find a pen that would write on the page – a Pitt pen worked.

I didn’t intend to highlight the words by using white paper hand printed words, but I spelt Simplify and simplifying wrong….one too many “y”s so I re-wrote and glued down. Then, I thought ACTION needed to be highlighted also and I never like to have even amounts of anything….so for the 7th white paper, I highlighted “NO”.

The gold partial circle was in the bottom of the pizza box of scraps, and was calling to be used. I cut “A QUIET VOICE” out of an old book, and Imagine was printed many years ago when I used to have a scrabble font on the old PC…..should find it again for this Mac. Been wanting to use some buttons in my journal for awhile, so this side edge worked out perfect to add some (7).

I am typing these actions, printing them on a couple pages so I can have them glued to index cards for the computer area, to beside my sewing machine and on my cutting/craft table.

New Blog Post:

As we get closer to the start of a NEW YEAR and NEW CENTURY, I am reviewing my goals for 2009, adding those that didn’t happen to my list for 2010 plus adding NEW ones! I will post Sunday.

Word for 2010 – have you thought about yours? I am working on Christine Kane’s “Word of the Year Discovery Tool” will see about posting it tomorrow or on Saturday.

I am trying to finish purging, sorting and setting up my IKEA Antonius Basket shelves. One will be full of my fabric paints, so I don’t have to go digging in a tote box.

Tomorrow is our second Full Moon this month…..a blue moon, so wonder if we’ll be able to see it. Camera is ready, batteries are charged!
