When I first when into the hospital, the trees were just starting to turn colour and when I came home – no leaves left on the trees. And, if there were leaves stuck on the trees – yesterday’s 93 km winds totally cleared them off!!!
This is what I missed this year! My favourite season of the year is AUTUMN & I totally missed the colours.
DH says there is next year! YEP, thankfully there is & I can browse thru all the photos I’ve taken in the past.
Feeling so much better everyday! The staples came out on Monday (Nov. 2) & being able to shower or bath is one of those special little treats!!! Having to sponge bath for 4 weeks was NOT the same.
Have been doing alot of reading – catching up on the magazines that have been piling up. Also, thoroughly reading Melanie Testa‘s book “Inspired to Quilt” – before I just flipped thru it. I have been doodling & sketching in one my sketchbooks and she personally challenged me to use my left hand to draw some…..working on that.
I’ve also been listening to podcasts (since sister gave me an iPod nano while in the hospital). I downloaded favourites from Craftcast. I LOVE being able to go sit somewhere and listen to the podcasts, instead of sitting at the computer.
I’ve thinking this recovery time has been needed…….

Gorgeous photo. Our autumn was kind of strange this year because the leaves stayed green for so long and then it snowed. Hmmm. Still got some more subtle colours.
Glad to hear you are doing so well with your recovery. Enjoy your more quiet times with the reading, sketching and podcasts.
angels be with you
