UPCYCLING an Old Art Quilt – 6 hours
UpCycling is the practice of taking something that is disposable or downcycled and transforming it into something of greater use and value!
In this workshop, you will take an unloved art quilt, add to it, paint on it and cut it up to make a totally FABULOUS new Art Piece. No two quilts will be the same! They will be so inspiring, you’ll be taking notes the whole time to use in future pieces! And, once you have cut up one old, unloved quilt, you will be looking for more. You will be shown how to even start unloved quilt, for future UpCycling!

I can’t wait to see your photos too…This winter, we had an exhibit like this. We were to not buy anything new for the project. I went a step further and actually re-cycled stuff…using an old quilt, fusible web and used painted dryer sheets. It was lots of fun and very stimulating.
What a great idea! I can’t wait to see the photos.
How about upcycling any old quilt — not specifically art, in other words? I’m thinking of grandma’s quilt, the one the dog had puppies on. Anyway, I’m inspired! Thanks!
Sounds exciting. I know they are beautiful.
Thanks again for all your support. Means a lot to me. Doing much better this week. We’ll get some of those cards printed up for you early next week.
Angels be with you
