Week 1 of 52 Sparks

Week 1 – WORD, your word of meaning for the year.

I blogged about my Word of the Year HERE, and am already starting to feel the power of the word: EMPOWER.

For my tag, I decided to use the biggest one as the first one. I, at first, was going to just change out the word Oxygen to EMPOWER, then decided to change it up.

I roughly sanded the tag, because it had a glossy finish on it.  I, then, used an image from a little fridge calendar that we started using yesterday.  

I printed off the word image that I had used on my blog post for Word of the Year, then, used gesso all around it as it was embedded in the snow. I let that dry for awhile and felt the top left needed something, so I just used some old rub-ons that were already laying on my crafting table.  I think I will use some gesso on the inside straight edge (I see it more in the photo now that I’ve uploaded it).  I used a tiny paint brush to paint gesso over the 2013 that was already on that calendar image.

As I said, I am already feeling the power of EMPOWER, so many AWESOME things are happening, and being planned.
